Installation
The story of memories that begin and end in the middle.
The past will always be remembered and viewed through a current lens. And while there will always be an ever-present notion of ‘the way things were,’ Undone examines the way things are, composed in an environment not bound by time.
Derived from found and family photographs, as well as from my own present surroundings, I recreate images using bits of recycled fabric once worn and felt. The faded fabric, stitched by hand and machine, interweaves its former owners and their time long passed, with a new, present life; an ordinary moment becomes heightened, poignant, remembered.
